Margot Connolly

Margot Connolly graduated from Weston High School in 2009.  She studied flute with Judy Grant for almost 4 years, and was named a BFA Young Artist for the 2008-2009 school year.  Ms. Connolly was a member of the NEC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO) her senior year and a member of the NEC Youth Symphony Orchestra (YSO) her junior year.  She also played for many years in the Massachusetts Districts and All State Orchestras.

Ms. Connolly attended well-respected summer music programs throughout her high school years, performed in masterclasses for well-known flutists (including BSO Principal Flute Elizabeth Rowe, pictured above), and was an accomplished piccolo player.  She was a finalist for the 2008 New England String Ensemble Flute Concerto Competition and a 2006 Concerto Soloist with the Longy Youth Orchestra.  Ms. Connolly was an active athlete at her high school and excelled in academics. She has gone on to attend Yale University.
