Jinji Zhang

A senior at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Jinji Zhang studies flute with Judy Grant in the Boston Flute Academy Young Artist Program.  He currently plays in the Boston Youth Symphony under Frederico Cortese, and has played in both the Junior and Senior Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble at New England Conservatory.

In summer 2011, Mr. Zhang attended the Brevard Music Center, where he studied with Marianne Gedigian and Dilshad Posnock and played under Maestros Ken Lam and Keith Lockhart.  He has also played in masterclasses with Robert Dick, David Houston, Paula Robison, Elizabeth Rowe, Cindy Meyers, and Fenwick Smith at the Boston Flute Academy.  Mr. Zhang was also selected to perform on NPR’s “From the Top” radio show with three other members of the BFA Young Artist Ensemble in the fall of 2011.
