Emma Huelskamp

Emma Huelskamp studies flute with Judy Grant in the Boston Flute Academy Young Artist Program.  She is originally from Indianapolis and previously studied with Karen Moratz and Anne Reynolds.  Ms. Huelskamp is currently a senior at the Walnut Hill School in Natick, Massachusetts, and a member of the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Huelskamp is a past winner of the Flute Society of Kentucky’s Junior Competition and the Central Ohio Flute Association’s Junior Competition.  She has also performed as a soloist with the Musical Arts Youth Orchestra. In 2011, she was one of eight finalists selected nationwide for the National Flute Association’s High School Soloist competition in Charlotte, NC.  Also in 2011, she performed with the BFA Young Artist Ensemble on the NPR radio show “From the Top.”

Ms. Huelskamp has participated in summer masterclasses with Gary Schocker, Katherine Borst-Jones, Michel Debost, and Sir James Galway.  She hopes to continue her flute studies through college and go on to pursue a career in music.
